Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery
Monday, March 1, 2:30 – 4:15 p.m.
Session Leader: Steve Hilton, Head of Enterprise and SMB Research, Analysys Mason

WAN Solutions for BC/DR
WAN solutions are your bread and butter, but did you know you can increase your commission stream by designing redundancy and diversity into your customers’ WANs. This session will show you how to create diversity in access elements and data center connectivity plus how using can use MPLS technology to develop an ecosystem for disaster-proof cloud computing.

Speaker: Mike Frane, Senior Managing Product Marketing, New Edge Networks, an Earthlink Company

Adding Wireless Backup Solutions
Customers with mission-critical information running across their WANs cannot afford downtime. Satellite or wireless WAN can offer land/air diversity since there is no local loop in a wireless backup solution. This session will provide recommendations for meeting customers’ need for truly redundant networks, and how to profit from providing that peace of mind.

Speaker: Ken Mercer, Senior Vice President, Telecom Brokerage Inc. (TBI)

Branching Out Into Colo/Data Center Sales
Moving critical systems out of the customer’s server room or telephone closet and into a professional data center or colo facility with redundant power and connectivity is a natural part of a BC/DR sale. Learn how to introduce colo to your customers, assuage their security and network management fears, and possibly use colo as a door to further sales.

Speaker: Dany Bouchedid, CEO, COLOTRAQ

Positioning Hosted VoIP for BC/DR
Unlike most other disaster recovery products, if positioned properly, hosted VoIP is not perceived as an additional cost, but rather a cost savings. This session will show how with hosted VoIP, you can assure inbound call capacity to any planned or unplanned recovery site, mitigate failure points on the premises and with the carrier, and save the customer money.

Speaker: William Bumbernick, CEO, Alteva
