Clark Atwood
Clark Atwood is an advisory board member and co-founder of the Cloud Services Coalition, a consortium of master agencies focused on cloud services. He also is also president of Concierge Communications, a master agent for more than 40 communications providers. A 20-year veteran of the computer and communication industries, Atwood has been a VAR business owner and has served as the chairman of the Novell Gold and Small Business Councils. He also has worked in sales and management for VARs that focused on local area networks, storage area networks, clustered firewalls, security, software development and more. Atwood has obtained many technical sales certifications, notably as an IVR/ACD engineer. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Conference & Expo Advisory Board.
J.D. Baker
John "J.D." Baker is president and CEO of ACC Business, a provider of telecommunications services based in Rochester, N.Y. Baker has been in this role since 2001 and leads more than 140 employees, driving sales, operations, finance, marketing and business development activities. During this time, ACC has experienced nine consecutive years of double-digit growth, a 30X increase in average customer spend. Baker serves on the boards of directors for his local Junior Achievement and Ronald McDonald House Charities. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Dany M. Bouchedid
Dany M. Bouchedid is president of the board of trustees of the Technology Channel Association (TCA), the indirect channel industry's first trade association. Bouchedid also is the CEO of Interaqt Corp. (dba COLOTRAQ), a company he founded in 1999 as a sourcing management consulting firm for telecom and IT services. Today, COLOTRAQ brings buyers and sellers together in more than 1,300 markets across 221 countries and territories. Bouchedid holds a bachelor's degree in finance and management from Montclair State University and a master's degree in finance and international business from New York University's Stern School of Business. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
J.R. Cook
J.R. Cook is the vice president of alternate channels for EarthLink Business. Cook joined EarthLink Business in 2009, when it was known as New Edge Networks, as the first vice president with sole responsibility for the company's agent channel. He has more than 13 years of experience managing channel partner relationships. Prior to New Edge Networks, Cook was vice president of premier accounts for TelePacific Communications after working as a director in its Telepartner channel. He was also key in building the agent channel for Mpower Communications, which was acquired by TelePacific in 2006. Cook also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Brian Cuppett
Brian Cuppett is vice president of sales for ScanSource Communications, a value-added distributor. Cuppett has more than 13 years of experience in distribution. Prior to his current role, he was director of business development for ScanSource. In 2001, Cuppett began the field business development team for what would become ScanSource Communications and in 2008 was named director of business development. He came to ScanSource from its 1998 acquisition of CTI Authority, where he was a sales engineer. Prior to joining the distribution industry, Cuppett was a partner in a software company and a cost accountant for a freight car manufacturer. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Travis Graff
Travis Graff is managing partner of an interconnect company, Tehama County Telephone, and co-founder and CEO of TC Telephone LLC, a CLEC in California. As the leader of two small businesses, Graff wears many hats. He oversees day-to-day operations, contract negotiations, marketing and IT as both companies expand geographically and morph to meet the current markets. His management and telecommunications skills have allowed him to serve on several advisory boards for small businesses and a local school. Graff has a degree in computer science and numerous industry certifications. He has more than 20 years of telecommunications experience. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Chris Henry
Chris Henry is a 15-year veteran of the communications industry. For the past six years, Henry has been with Nexus IS, a systems integrator based in Southern California, where he is primarily responsible for creating growth through alternate channels, layering telco services into the company's technology portfolio. Prior to joining Nexus, Henry served a six-year tenure with SBC DataComm. Henry started his telecom career in 1996, helping a Nevada-based CLEC expand into California. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Jeremy Kerth
Jeremy Kerth is managing partner for Wired Networks, a telecom agency he founded in 2008. Wired Networks offers multicarrier telecom services, network optimization, project and inventory management, cabling and installation. Before striking out on his own, Kerth worked with agencies Liquid Networx and RealCom Solutions. Prior to entering the channel, he spent five years in sales with Qwest. He started his telecom career in 1999 with Nettel. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Mark Landiak
Mark Landiak heads up the Wireless Business Owners Consortium, a trade organization aimed at providing wireless dealers with access to the products, services and strategies to help them increase sales and operate more efficiently and profitability. Landiak also is president of Corporate Dynamics Inc., a Chicago-based training and consulting firm that specializes in helping wireless carriers, master agents, dealers and manufacturers to grow sales, keep customers and more profitably manage their operations. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
John Macario
John Macario is managing director of TelcoFuture, a consulting company that helps clients successfully launch IP communications and cloud services products into the business market. Prior to founding TelcoFuture, Macario was senior vice president of product strategy for Optimum Lightpath, a subsidiary of Cablevision Systems Corp. Previously, he was president of Savatar, an industry research and consulting firm. He retains his charter membership in Red Sox Nation despite residing in New York City. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
William Madison
William Madison is the director of channel sales for Alliant Technologies, Morristown, N.J., a provider of IT and managed services solutions. He is responsible for developing channel partnerships that benefit from the IT and telco industry convergence. During his 16-year career in the telecom industry, Madison has held senior sales management roles and most recently was owner of a New Jersey-based telecom consulting firm. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Justin McLain
As Endeavor Telecom's CEO, Justin McLain is responsible for overseeing company operations, as well as developing new services and strategic relationships and managing Endeavor's relationships with its largest customers. McLain has been in executive management with Endeavor since its divestiture in 2002. Prior to that, he worked for HealthSource and Shin-Etsu Polymer Corp. McLain earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and a bachelor's degree in biology from the College of Charleston. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Bill Power
Bill Power is CEO of the Agent Alliance, a consortium of master agencies, direct sales teams and individual agents. The alliance was formed in the late 1990s and brings value to its shareholders by leveraging its collective distribution power, providing peer-to-peer benchmarking, sharing industry knowledge and through the consolidation of internal resources. Power previously was president and co-founder of ARG, a founding member of the Agent Alliance and a full-service telecom agency based in Washington, D.C. Power sold his interest in ARG in early 2010. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Andrew Pryfogle
Andrew Pryfogle is the founder, president and CEO of Terrapin Solutions, a master agency based in San Francisco's East Bay. Pryfogle started Terrapin to address the growing demand for cloud services such as hosted VoIP, cloud computing and cloud infrastructure. He has been in the telecommunications industry for 22 years and has held senior sales leadership positions with carriers such as AT&T, MCI and WorldCom. In 2001 Pryfogle helped start GoBeam Communications, a pioneer in hosted IP telephony that was sold in 2004 to Covad Communications where Pryfogle spent three years running the channel. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Chris Ragland
Chris Ragland is a principal in Order Experts LLC, an enterprise mobility solutions company. Over the past decade he has served as a principal in more than a dozen companies providing various levels of leadership and support. His specializations include navigating rapid business change, mapping processes during periods of ambiguity, forming and developing teams and driving creativity for product and process development. He holds a bachelor's degree in entrepreneurship as well as a master's degree in business administration from St. Edward's University. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Nancy Ridge
Nancy Ridge is a founder of Women in the Channel, a grassroots organization made up of women who are in leadership, ownership and revenue-generating roles in the alternate sales channel of the telecommunications industry. She also is vice president for master agency Telcombrokers, where she has driven growth of more than 300 percent. Previously Ridge was vice president of sales for ATI, where she was responsible for creating and managing the indirect sales channel. Prior to that, she was a vice president for a consulting firm that pioneered the TEM concept and also was a principal in a demand-side energy service company for 10 years. She also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Michael Saxby
Michael Saxby joined master agency Telecom Brokerage Inc. (TBI) as its chief strategy officer in September 2010. He is responsible for business development, strategy, process improvements and marketing initiatives. Before coming to TBI, Saxby spent 14 years at Virgo Publishing, a business-to-business media company, where he served many roles, including the group publisher for the Telecom, Lifestyle and Light Industrial divisions. In the Telecom Division, Saxby oversaw strategy for print, digital and event products, which included PHONE+, VON/xchange and Billing & OSS World (B/OSS) brands and the Channel Partners Conference & Expo and Billing & OSS World Conference & Expo. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Craig Schlagbaum
Craig Schlagbaum is the vice president of indirect channel sales for Comcast Business Class Services, where he manages the indirect channel team and programs for business services. Previously, Schlagbaum managed the indirect channel team for Level 3 Communications. He has spent more than 21 years in various indirect channel roles in sales, marketing and business development with NTT/Verio, Qwest Communications, IBM Corp. and Sony Corp. He has been recognized as a top channel executive by Channel Partners magazine. Schlagbaum holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Marko Spremo
Marko Spremo is vice president of sales and a co-founder of Telapprise LLC. As a 15-year veteran in networking and telecom, Spremo has helped Telapprise grow from its founding in 2002 as a telecom audit firm to a full-service telecom agency, offering telecom expense management, consulting and carrier services. Previously, he was a regional sales manager for a national VAR selling networking hardware and services. Spremo holds a bachelor's degree in international business and a master's dregree in business administration from San Jose State University. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Dale Stein
Dale Stein is co-founder and director of strategic planning and business development for Technology Assurance Group (TAG), an association of 118 independent leading integrators providing $385 million in voice and data services to small and medium business throughout North America. Stein also is CEO of IPx Connect, a provider of Web conferencing and e-learning solutions. Previously, he was CEO of INET, Inc., which was acquired by a public CLEC in 2000, and he was founder and CEO of Westec Security Corp. Stein has a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering technology from DeVry University in Chicago and certification from Harvard University's Small Company Management Program. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Rick Stern
Rick Stern is the founder and CEO of Nitel Inc., which has evolved from an agency to a master agent to a nationwide reseller. Nitel is listed in the Inc. 500 and recognized by Crain's Chicago Business as the 5th fastest growing company in Chicago for two consecutive years. Stern cut his teeth in the telecom business as a direct sales person for Sprint and later as an agent manager at WorldCom. Stern earned a bachelor's degree in telecommunications from the University of Florida and is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Executive Education Program. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Scott Stewart
Scott Stewart is director of sales – competitive service providers for ADTRAN Inc., where focuses on solutions that enable carriers to deliver Ethernet, internetworking and converged voice solutions into the SMB marketplace. Stewart has 15 years of telecom sales experience working with a diverse set of customers including Tier 2 and Tier 3 IOCs, wireless service providers, CLECs and MSOs. Scott is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Dale Tucker
Dale Tucker is business development director for the CenturyLink Channel Alliance (formerly the Qwest Business Partner Program), where he is responsible for new business development, expansion of partner models and agent contract negotiation/management/governance. Tucker has worked for Qwest/CenturyLink for 12 years. Previously, he was with MCI in positions spanning legal, network engineering, and finance. Tucker has a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver, a juris doctorate degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and a master's degree in telecommunications from the University of Colorado at Boulder, College of Engineering and Applied Science. He also is a member of the 2011-12 Channel Partners Advisory Board.
Dan Vidal
Dan Vidal is an entrepreneur with a 12-year career in the telecom industry. He is the co-founder and managing director of Telecom Advisors, an independent firm that specializes in advising clients in the procurement of voice and data telecom services, as well as managing all aspects of their telecom life cycle. Vidal has experience in corporate telecom and business management, including all aspects of running a successful business. He is a regular contributor and speaker for Channel Partners and serves on the Channel Partners Advisory Board as the Peer-to-Peer Committee Chair.
