XO Communications (Booth 201-203), a sponsor of the Channel Partners Conference & Expo, has expanded its IP portfolio to include PBX and SIP technology, and integrated the XOptions Flex VoIP product with its MPLS IP-VPN. The new products are called XO One iPBX and XO SIP. The services target businesses and enterprises.

“XO is leading the way in helping our partners transition businesses to converged IP networks,” said Tom Cady, president of XO Business Services. XO One iPBX is a managed IP PBX that allows customers with single or multiple locations to outsource their premisesbased IP-PBX systems. The service uses the Avaya IP Office, Avaya Enterprise Communications Group and Nortel BCM platforms.

It combines voice and data networking, equipment and professional services in bundles that are managed by XO at the customer’s premise. iPBX comes in two bundle sizes: iPBX 15 is for SMBs; and iPBX 50 targets enterprises. Both come with Internet access, unlimited local calling, toll-free, DID, voice mail, Web hosting and more.

XO SIP, meanwhile, delivers converged voice and data services to businesses with existing IP PBX systems. It uses one SIP-based gateway facility to manage traffic between the IP PBX and the IP network. XO SIP initially is interoperable with Avaya Communications Manager, Avaya IP Office, Cisco CallManager, Cisco Call Manager Express and Digium Asterisk. The company has plans for additional IP PBX interoperability in the future.
